The PPC Management Hassle
since 1998 when Overture first introduced the idea of selling search ads for 1 or 2 cents, the pay per click advertising market grow larger and more competitive every day and the system quickly evolved to be one of the worlds ever growing marketplaces.
The main idea behind the PPC is to let advertisers have their ads to be placed somewhere in the 1st page of the search engine when certain keywords are being searched. The click price then will vary according to many things such as competitiveness of the keyword, search volume of the keyword, region for the ad to be placed, … etc.
From 2003 to mid 2008, the PPC market was less competitive than it is today, normally if you would have chosen 10 words for your ad campaign, 6~8 of them would converge to be profitable, however this is not the case any more, Today the market is more competitive than ever that may be 1 or 2 out of 10 keywords for an ad campaign would converge. Therefore, many people are loosing money to their ad campaigns.
