How To Get More Comments On Your Blog
If you are like me, you want people to comment on you blogs but the frustrating fact is that it can be very hard to get readers to do that. So, how can you get more comments on your blog posts?
1. I have set a goal to go out and comment on at least 10 blog posts every single week. We will see if that gets me any comments.
How am I going to decide which blogs to comment on? I recently read a report by Paul Lear. He invites everyone to leave a nice comment on his most recent blog post and he promises to leave you a comment on your blog when he makes his rounds once or twice a week. Grab his link in the resource box.
I will follow his example and if you leave a nice comment on my blog, I promise that I will comment on your blog post. You can get the link in the resource box.
2. He also suggests that we scroll through his top commentators and visit their blogs. He suggests posting quality comments to some of these blogs. But he doesn’t promise that they will return the comment because he explains that at some point, you are beyond this type of thing.
The most important thing to remember is that you have to leave quality comments. Bloggers get upset when you say “Great comment” or something generic along those lines. You have to demonstrate that you have actually read the post and comment on something relevant. If you don’t, your comments will not be approved and no one will see your links. So take the time to read the posts and craft an intelligent, well thought out response to get the most out of your comment.
