I am Superwoman!
It has been a little over a year now, since I retired, and I am truly enjoying my life, but one thing I have now realized, that I am superwoman!
There have been many different superwomen over the years! Wonder woman, the Bionic Woman, Storm and Cat Woman (OK, I might be stretching that one), but I think I can fit myself in that category. I will call myself, the “Dollar Store Bionic Woman”!
It’s not necessary because I frequent the dollar stores all the time, even though I do enjoy shopping there. I am going on the basis that in the last 3 years before my retirement and now a year afterwards, I feel like “superwoman”!
Maybe I can’t leap tall buildings at a single bound, but I can bend down to pick up a nickle off the ground. Maybe, I can’t go through walls, but I can hold a door open with my “butt” when bringing in groceries. Maybe I can’t run at lightning speed, but I can walk very fast when I have to, to use the bathroom.
I have had a few surgeries in my lifetime, a removal of a lump from my breast, when I was in my twenties, a hysterectomy, 3 years ago and now to have a hernia repair done. With this surgery, the doctor will place a plastic mesh in my body, now don’t tell me I’m not, “The Dollar Store Bionic Woman”!
I’m not making light of my surgeries, OK, maybe I am because sometimes this is a part of life. I know that all surgeries are serious (anytime you are being cut on), but I don’t worry about it, my faith is too strong for that!
As I said before, I might not be able to turn into fire, but I can breathe out hot breath, that can almost burn your eyebrows off! Superwoman!
