Making Money By Creating Valuable Content: Free Article Content
Some bloggers try to republish articles from free content directories to get visitors to their site and make some money. It is important to have content for those who have just begun working as an affiliate for several networks and do not yet have a great budget, yet need to built small niche websites to visitors to their site so that they can begin making revenue.
Although this can sometimes be the only option for those who are running on a non-existent budget, it is not a way that will easily build your website or affiliate commissions. There are a few potential reasons why this may be detrimental to your business building efforts.
Problem No 1 – Search Engines
Google will not bring up your site if it has the exact same duplicated content other web sites. The more websites share your unique content, the less it will help you rank high in search engines.Good search engine rankings are essential in getting visitors to your website so that they have a chance to click on your promotion links. If you cannot get visitors, then will never make an revenue. To set up the search engine optimization for your website so that you will eventually be high enough in the results to get customers, should be priority one.
No 2 Problem – Getting visitors to click your ads
However getting your site ranking high on search engine result pages and obtaining traffic isa hard job, unfortunately this is only half of the job done. You must also be able to convince those visitors to click on your affiliate links. If your visitors recognize the same content they have seen on other blogs, they will not be motivated to click on your links. This is because most people want to buy things that are recommended by people that they trust or whom they feel like are an expert of the area.
If your content is just duplicated from other sites, you will be exposed as somebody who does not really know what they are talking about and therefore will not look heavily on your product recommendations. This will reduce the number of website visitors who will be willing toclick on your link.
3. Problem – The Author Bylines
The majority of free articles are only reprintable if you agree to place the content owner’s byline under the article (you can get into trouble if you try to use it without following the stipulated rules). This poses a problem because most author bylines include affiliate links. When a reader gets done reading a very intriguing article, there is chance that they will click on the author’s byline link rather than your affiliate links. This is the no. 1 reason why these authors offer free content, so that they may get their name and links out to the web. Using other people’s content may be similar to shooting yourself in the foot and losing targeted audience and profitable website visitors.
Once you come to terms with these problems, you are looking at a serious decline in affiliate revenue simply because you used free website content from directories. It may be the only option for some affiliate marketers, but if you have the inventory to buy your own original content, then you should definitely do it. However,If you don’t have the resources, you may be better off writing your own unique content and later on hiring freelancers once you have made a profit to polish your content.
