MSN, Yahoo or Google, Which One to Target First?

This would be the famous question that I’ve ever heard – which search engine should I target first when I have just set up a new money making blog?

The answer has always been Google but this is rapidly changing in the world of SEO. The reason for this is that Google have a sandbox filter that will prevent any site from ranking well for very competitive terms (I have bolded this for a reason) for at least 8 months, sometimes even more.

Anyone that states they have a way around the sandbox for new sites is most likely not telling the truth as they would be instantly very rich and certainly wouldn’t share the secret. For this reason your initial focus should be on MSN and Yahoo.

Through following good SEO practices you will be building your site up for Google anyhow, it just means that you can get instant traffic and rankings from MSN and Yahoo first.

MSN should be the first search engine of choice as far as SEO goes. The reason behind this is that we can have a number 1 position for say “Dog Training” within weeks (with a competition of over 10 million). Dave Kellyc are even more smart guy can even taken sites into the first page of MSN within 3 weeks or less for any competitive keyword phrase they want. This is very important for launching blog sites into virtual ‘instant’ profitability.

Having to said this, Google is still the grand daddy of SE’s (Search Engines) and when you get first page results you can expect a lot more traffic more then you could ever get from yahoo or msn for the same keyword (usually combined).

My two cents:

There is one way to get around the Google sandbox and that is to buy a pre-aged domain, or a fresh expired domain that already has link popularity, and target small keywords. Doing this we’ve gotten traffic from Google in as little as 5 days. Read more tips and trick from Learn SEO.

No doubt it’s easier to rank in MSN than Google but of late I’ve seen Google showing “new” blogs for certain keywords !

Do agreed if new the new blogs are targeting least competitive keywords. For high competitive keywords, MSN and Yahoo are still much easier than Google : )

I’ve seen a lot of users in the blog are searching for new keywords but in the facts they’re searching for a ghost!! The write keywords for searching a blog is the rite h1 title you put inside your blog..

Even you’re google, MSN, yahoo or any other search engine optimization u still have to follow the unfollow!!!
