I found this book after starting 3 blogs. Before, I had low traffic, I didn’t quite understand Adsense, and had gotten sucked into phony affiliate marketing programs. After reading the book, my traffic has increased threefold, I’ve signed up for Google Analytics, and I now have 6 blogs. I have yet to make much money yet, but this book is taking me in the right direction.

If you don’t know what a blog is, but for some reason decide you want to start one, then this would be a great place to start. The first third of the book covers “what is a blog”.

The next portion deals with promoting your blog. These may be good for someone just entering the blogging world, but most of us have heard of Technorati and RSS feeds. Even if you haven’t, you’d be better off with a book that covered more strategies with more depth.

The book gives an overview of the “business” of blogging, but the details are so sparse and basic that you’ll have to pick up another book on the subject anyway.

It does a decent job of weighing the pros and cons of different blog services, but, to me, that alone is not worth the price.

Again, if you are a newbie, this book is a good, quick way to get caught up. If not, save yourself the money and buy a different book.

A very insightful book… Talks abound the life of being a real business. See most people don’t look at on line stuff as an oppurnity of making money…

As the author of a new blog for parents (shameless plug(!): http://www.parenttalk.typepad.com), I needed all the tips and tricks I could find. This book delivers. Not a lot of theory and padding, which I appreciated. Just great tips, links and reviews of different blogging services. I’d recommend it for bloggers who are just starting out.

This was very basic book
This book covers very basic topics and some that I could not imagine would be interest to anyone just starting.

It’s 96 pages, NOT 200
Upon searching for a blogging book I came across this one. Amazon.com had the book listed at being 200 pages.
